The mission of Pacific Coast Academy is to develop the individual gifts of students in San Diego County and adjacent counties to become critical thinkers, responsible citizens and innovative leaders prepared for academic and real-life achievement in the 21st Century. The mission will be accomplished through quality, personalized, standards-based education which could include online coursework, offline textbook work, project-based learning, and unique hands-on and experiential learning experiences facilitated in partnership with students, parents, staff, and community.

The courses offer learning in core subjects as well as electives for a variety of grade levels. Each 4 week course meets once a week and is taught by a PCA teacher.
Over 100 in-person field trip options throughout the year!PCA’s Developmental Robotics meets virtually twice a week and is designed for developing elementary and middle school students. Students will apply engineering and problem solving skills at home using the popular Vex IQ robotics platform, all facilitated by a PCA teacher.

The goal of Spark Online Learning is to provide inquiry-based active learning opportunities and Ignite the love of learning in all students.
Students will make authentic multi-disciplinary connections to the world with the oversight of a credentialed teacher in our semester long courses.
Classes offered in all core subject areas and are aligned with CA grade level standards.
